Nationals

Some of you wonder what in the world our trips to Vegas are all about :) So here are some pics.

The venue - Orleans Arena. This is the stage that participants compete on.

The judge table (utilizing the judge system that Tyler built for JAMZ while with RT)

Tyler's play room - he plays different videos throughout the event and during our closing - what would we do without him?! :)

3rd level - VIP Coach's Lounge, also known as Coach Check-in. This is where I can be found at any time throughout the event (if I haven't been called elsewhere to do something else)..and here I am, hard at work :)1st place teams receive jackets
Things were going so well this weekend, that Julie joined our 'blue shirt crew' - I had to have this on camera!

For the first time, Tyler and I joined the crew out on the town, after our staff dinner - here we are on our way to some club at the Wynn. My girls and I in the back of the limo: Tina, Hollie and Heather.

Sunday night: over 6,000 spectators - AMAZING! This was my view from the 3rd level.

On our last day, as we were breaking down, the Orleans Crew presented Marty & Julie with this awesome plaque! When I asked what was different about this weekend that merited the award, they said 'it was just time' :) We love it there!

Closing Ceremony (from a spectator's view) - this is the production part that gets put together each year. This year was by far my favorite! Made me wish I still danced... Click on 'closing ceremony' above for a link of the production on the first weekend.

We made the local news this past weekend! Here's the clip that was played on Saturday's news.

So, in trying to put this together, I realize that it's hard to really explain what it's all about for us there. It's our biggest event of the year. It is the pinnacle of events, for the season that runs October through January - where all teams that qualify throughout the season have an opportunity to compete against each other one last time for an overall National winner in each division. I get to spend time with the coaches as they check-in...chatting with them throughout their time there answering questions or just visiting (love that part of it). Mr Tyler stays busy monitoring the judging system, getting the videos to play, taking photos and shooting videos of the event so that we may use it throughout the year for promoting/advertising our events. I did try to get a picture of us together, but no luck. He's usually the one with the camera...So there you have it; a glimpse in to our month of February :)
