Wanted to give a quick update as I'm heading out the door to go visit with Emma a bit.
I was released from the hospital yesterday, and after spending as much time as we could with Emma, we headed home yesterday evening. It was absolutely heart breaking to leave her there.
Emma updates: she's got a little jaundice, so they have her under a light to help her out. They were checking her levels again this morning to see where she is today, and I'll find that out when I get there. She's eating well! The Dr told us last night that he'll start to increase her food intake and decrease the IV fluid, which is a great sign. So, she's doing really well!
Mom & Dad updates: we are exhausted and emotionally drained. We would absolutely appreciate your prayers and ENCOURAGEMENT during this difficult time. We know our little girl is doing well, but the hospital and Dr's have her health, development and best interest at heart in caring for her - and they're just making sure she's OK to come home with us before they let her leave their care. And we absolutely appreciate that. Last thing we'd want is to have her come home too early only to lead to issues later. Both Tyler and I said this morning that we're going to need a lot of encouragement to get through this...of course we're relying on God's strength and know He's ultimately in charge of our little girl - and she's well and here with us which is just wonderful. :)
Anyhow, time to head out the door - we'll keep you posted on how she's doing this weekend! We pray that she'll continue on the up and up ;)

You can certainly count on our prayers! Just think of the time when she gets to come home with you and home much fun you will have together. It may seem like an eternity now but believe me that day will be here really soon and then it will be all memories and stories to tell your little one:)
